How to create CFS data and import it with WP Ultimate CSV Importer? #
Step 1: Download the free Custom Field Suite plugin from the WordPress plugin repository.
Step 2: Create new custom fields in CFS that appears below the Settings menu. Click on the “Add New” in the top of the page.
Step 3: Click on Publish to add respective fields in the post/page.
Step 4: Prepare CSV file which contains all the details of the CFS fields.
Custom Field Suite: How to add values to CFS fields #
All the supported CFS fields format values are listed below in order to prepare a proper import file.

Step 5: Use WP Ultimate CSV Importer to upload the CSV file. You can view the CFS field in the mapping section.

Step 7: Click on ‘Import to import the data.
Update WordPress data with CFS Fields #
This plugin lets you update the existing WordPress fields with the help of CFS custom fields. After uploading your CSV/XML file, click the Update Content option. Select your desired post_type from the dropdown.
This plugin also lets you update the existing WordPress CFS fields. So while you’re in the import configuration section, enable the Do you want to update the records based on Fields? option and enter the Post_Title/ ID/Post_Name
Note: The Field Mapping follows the same procedure you do for optimization.
Export WordPress data with CFS Fields #
You can export CFS fields that are assigned to Posts, Pages, or Custom Posts data export. To export data,
- Move to the Export tab and select the post type that the CFS fields are assigned which can be Pages, Post
- To export a file, name it and select the type of file you want to export.

- Click Export.
- After the file is ready to export. Click download to save the backup on your local desktop.
