Now let’s see how the WP CSV importer plugin works.

Step 1: Prepare your CSV

The initial step to import /export/update posts, pages, custom posts, etc from one site to another is to prepare a CSV file with all the desired content that you want to import.

Ensure that you have included the language code and translated post title in your csv while importing content with translation using WPML and polylang.

Step 2: Access the WP CSV importer Plugin

Navigate to the WP Ultimate CSV importer plugin and click on Import/Update

Browse the desired CSV file for the appropriate content to import.

Select the desired content such as posts, pages, custom posts, etc., from the drop-down

Step 3: Map the fields

Map all the  WP core fields with their desired  CSV headers using the drag-and-drop method or advanced mapping. The advanced mapping involves mapping the WP core fields by selecting its appropriate CSV header from the drop-down.

For importing custom posts from ACF, JetEngine, or Metabox then Map the appropriate field (e.g. ACF Pro fields) in the Mapping section.

For importing translated content, Map the desired WPML fields or Polylang fields for effective data import.

Step 4: Import Configuration settings

In the Import Configuration section, you can enable the rollback option, to revert the changes you have made if inappropriate.

You can also schedule the import process based on your business needs.

Now run the importer to import all the content in your selected content type.
